How to Compare CBD Oils: Strength, Size and Proof

“How much CBD oil should I take?” is the question most people arrive with, and it is the one question a CBD company should not answer for you. Amounts are a conversation for you and, if you take prescription medication, your doctor — not for a shop that is selling you the bottle.

What a shop can do is make its labels legible, so you can compare one oil against another and see exactly what you are buying. That is what this guide is for.

Concentration and volume are two different numbers

Every bottle carries a percentage and a size, and they answer different questions. The percentage tells you how concentrated the oil is — how much CBD sits in each millilitre. The size tells you how much oil is in the bottle. Neither number alone tells you what the bottle is worth.

This is why two bottles at the same price can be very different products, and why a headline price on its own is close to meaningless. Compare the concentration and the volume together, and the picture resolves.

Why the biggest bottle is not automatically the best value

The cost per milligram depends on both the strength and the bottle size, and it does not move in a straight line across a range. It is worth checking rather than assuming: the pattern differs from brand to brand, and sometimes within a single range. A higher concentration does change one practical thing: you need less oil to get the same amount of CBD. That is a convenience and a taste question, not a quality question.

Broad-spectrum, full-spectrum and isolate are not interchangeable

The words on the front of the bottle describe what was kept during extraction, and they are the difference most buyers miss. Isolate is CBD on its own. Full-spectrum keeps the plant’s other compounds, including THC. Broad-spectrum keeps the other compounds and removes the THC — which is the category Canasity makes.

The certificate is the part most labels leave out

A label is a claim. A certificate of analysis is a laboratory’s account of what a specific batch actually contained, and it is the only document that connects the two. When you compare products, ask three questions: can you find a report at all, is it tied to the batch number on your bottle, and is it recent enough to describe the oil in your hand?
