CBD and THC are the two most famous compounds from the cannabis plant family \u2014 and confusing them is the single most common misunderstanding in this industry. They are chemically related, and behaviourally opposites.<\/p>\n
THC<\/strong> (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the compound responsible for the \u00abhigh\u00bb associated with marijuana. CBD<\/strong> (cannabidiol) is non-intoxicating \u2014 it does not produce a high, which is precisely why it can be sold as a food supplement across much of the world while THC remains tightly controlled.<\/p>\n Both are cannabis plants; the difference that defines them is THC content. Hemp is cannabis bred to contain only trace THC, and it is where nearly all CBD products begin \u2014 including ours.
